Clip Nut, #8x1/2" Grip, U Type Tinnerman (Old Part #:NAS395-18)

Long “U” Type self-retaining nuts, for use with Type "B" sheet metal screws, snap over the edge of panels or into center panel locations. They hold themselves in place for blind assembly or hard to reach places and float free for easy hole alignment and can be used to replace threaded nuts, lock washers, and spanner washers. They can be applied faster, easier, and are vibration resistant.
